Set photo or signature dimensions for a form

Photo and signature requirements vary by exam and application. These presets are starting points based on common print dimensions: 3.5 × 4.5 cm for a photo and 5.08 × 2.54 cm for a signature, converted to approximate pixels at 300 DPI. They are not official specifications for any particular form. The preset is a starting point; it does not crop to a face or guarantee a portal-specific result.

  1. Select a photo or signature image.
  2. Choose a preset or enter custom width and height values.
  3. Choose a crop mode, output format, and optional file-size target.
  4. Review the preview and download the image.
  5. Check the official form notice for file type, size limit, pixel dimensions, and background requirements.

Follow the official requirements

Different portals may require different dimensions, aspect ratios, file formats, and KB limits. Center crop may cut off important content, so check the preview and adjust the source image or fit mode as needed. A KB target is best effort; the image dimensions stay fixed while quality is reduced.

Frequently asked questions

Will this preset work for every exam form?

No. These are common print-size presets, not guaranteed specifications for an exam or portal. Follow the official notice.

Why does my signature look blurry?

Upscaling a very small image can make it look blurry. For better results, start with a clear, high-resolution image.

Can this tool set a KB limit too?

Yes. Enter a target size in KB. The tool lowers JPG or WebP quality while keeping the selected pixel dimensions. Exact limits cannot be guaranteed; PNG does not use the quality setting.
